    Wikies
    Wikis allows users to easily add and edit content and is especially suited for collaborative writing. That means that anyone can edit anything at anytime.
    The m,ost well-known wiki is Wikipedia, a collaborative encyclopedia that includes more up-to-date entries that Encyclopedia Britannica.
    Wikispaces.com is dedicated to educators, it offers sites with three levels of security: public, protected and private.
    Another educational wiki is PBwiki.

    Digital publication operated by an individual who regularly post comments and news, often including multimedia files. Readers can reply easily and thus participate in a discussion in which they share knowledge and reflect on the topic. Promote open dialogue and encourage the interchange of opinions, ideas and atittudes.
    Edublogs is an easy to-use-blog-creation site with customizable templates for educators.
    Photo Sharing
    Is a social collaborative site for sharing photography. Create tags and link to others with similar interest to build community centered arount photography. Although commonly thought of as a place to show off one's prowess as a photographer,Flickr can be very useful for group work.
    Social Bookmarking
    It is a popular web-based service that displays shared lists of user-created Internet bookmarks. Instead of keeping long lists of "favorites" in their own browsers, people use social bookmarking sites to organize, rank, and display their resources for others to see and use. The content is classified using tags.

    Podcasting
    Podcasting is the process of creating your own broadcast, typically produced by recording content and producing an MP3 file which can be distributed in many ways, including RSS. Podcasting derives its name from Apple's iPod, but any recording technology can be used. Individuals who enjoy podcasting and listening to podcasting take advantage of the portability of MP3 files, and listen to shows on portable MP3 players while jogging, driving, etc.
    RSS
    RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. RSS is basically a feed, a stream.
    RSS feeds are the structures that organize content which is being updated on a regular basis in order for others to retrieve it. This content could be articles, blog posts, photos, PDF documents, PowerPoint Presentations, audio files, video files, or other applications. If the content is the flesh of an orange then a feed would be its skin. The skin keeps the flesh in place so that it is easier to transport.
    Using Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 to subscribe to an RSS Feed is quick and easy and does not involve a registration process or fee. After you subscribe to an RSS Feed, headlines will appear in your RSS folders. RSS items appear similar to mail messages. When you see a headline that interests you, just click or open the item.
